Compression molded continuous fiber reinforced tapes


Application: High strength cover plate

 
  • Designed to protect sensitive detection devices on surface of highways

  • Glass Fiber / Nylon for high impact properties and corrosion resistance.

  • Compression molding unidirectional continuous fiber prepregs into finished or semi-finished shapes.

Compression molded continuous fiber reinforced fabrics


Machine parts from a billet

 

Compression molding PEEK / woven continuous carbon fiber prepreg into very thick laminates that customers use as a stock blank from which they can machine finished parts. These laminates currently have been made up to 3 inches thick and can be made to larger dimensions if needed. This is a revolutionary material that has significant advantages that were not previously available with traditional composites.

Compression molded long fibers


Application: Electronic component housing (micro-dome)

 
  • Designed for high strength and used in extremely harsh environment

  • Glass fiber reinforced to allow signal transmission

  • Intermediate material choice between injection molding and continuous fiber reinforcement. It is stronger than injection molded parts and cheaper than tradtional composites.

  • High speed compression molding of long fibers (0.5 to 1.0 inch) into finished 3D shapes.

Hot compression molding


Hot Compression Molding (HCM) uses powders that are fused together to form very thick moldings for specialized applications where injection molding is not possible

  • PEEK Bushings, impeller/case wear rings, throat bushings, and line shaft bearings

  • Availabe with multiple polymers
